Roots with Wings

When I was in college I thought you could either have roots or you could have wings. Choose between your history over having unique adventures for yourself. That or choose adventures and leave your history behind. It plagued me for years how could I give up on either? How could I choose? Thankfully I figured out that often you have to have roots to have wings. It is hard to move forward without knowing first where you have been. I know who I am and am proud of where I come from; I also look forward to finding new adventures of my very own. My life, and subsequently this blog, is as much about the roots and core of my life as it is the new journeys.
